Before the ashram was established in Ramagiri, it was a common sight to see local tribals and villagers in torn and faded clothes, the children would especially roam about naked, contracting skin-diseases of all sorts, and many women would be only half-clothed. In view of such miserable circumstances, we have endeavoured to provide these needy souls with clothes, for years together and as a result of our efforts, today the local people have the dignity of having clothes on their bodies.
You too can contribute to the welfare of such people by donating clothes (new or used). It is a basic necessity of life, that we may provide to so many with so little sacrifice on our part.
We also periodically distribute free notebooks, drawing books, etc. to children from the nearby villages. This is in addition to all the free-of-cost facilities provided to chldren studying in the Swami Sathyananda Saraswathy Aadivaasi Vidyaalaya.
Any donation of books from your side is most welcome to aid these children.
